Agreement
By using Munch ("we", "us", or "the platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Munch is a marketplace that connects customers with permitted home cooks operating under California MEHKO and similar local programs. Munch is not a restaurant, food producer, or government agency.
Marketplace role
Munch provides listing, discovery, ordering, and payment tools. Cooks are independent operators responsible for permits, food preparation, labeling, safety, and compliance with local health rules. Munch does not prepare food and does not guarantee the quality or safety of meals.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, applicable law, or community standards.
Orders and payments
Food orders are processed through Stripe. Prices, availability, and fulfillment are set by cooks. Platform fees and listing fees may apply as disclosed at checkout or in cook onboarding. Chargebacks and payment disputes may be handled through Stripe and our refund policy.
Cook listings
Cooks must maintain valid permits where required, accurate kitchen addresses, and truthful menu information. Munch may remove listings that are inactive, non-compliant, or misleading. Monthly listing fees are billed through Stripe until cancelled.
Prohibited conduct
You may not misuse the platform, interfere with other users, attempt unauthorized access, scrape data at scale, or use Munch for unlawful activity. Demo kitchens and test data are for preview only unless clearly labeled otherwise.
Disclaimers
Munch is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted service, error-free listings, or that every kitchen meets your dietary needs. Always verify allergens and ingredients with the cook.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Munch and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, food consumed, or cook conduct. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to Munch in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
